street typography

How do they paint the lines, words and signs on roads? When London-based designer Tom Williams captured this crew of painters creating a bus stop outside his home, I was fascinated and enthralled by the craftsmanship of the workers. No machines, just freehand lettering. Who would have thought? I doubt this is the norm, but if it is, I'd definitly track some workers down, perch on the side on the pavement, munch on some snacks and observe with glee!
